Repost from @voltashow Galerie Anne de Villepoix (Paris, booth B17) spotlights Yashua Klos at VOLTA NY. The Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based artist depicts Black identity in a state of abstraction, in his words: “The Black body in America exists in flux — resisting and hiding — shape-shifting as a survival strategy.” Klos was awarded the Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant in 2014.
